Skills

I have gained a lot of technical and transferrable skills throughout my life. These skills were learnt and developed through everyday life, academics, work experiences and extra-curricular activities. Despite having these skills, I am constantly working on myself by learning new skills or developing old ones further.

Technical

Languages and Frameworks: Python, Java, C, SQL, Django, Javascript, Bash
Systems: Windows, Linux (Ubuntu), macOS
Software: Visual Studio, git, cPanel, WHM, WHMCS, Office 365, iWork, WordPress
Hardware: Desktop Computers, Fortinet Fortigate, Juniper SSG & SRX

Most of the languages and frameworks listed here were learnt and developed through University courses both at UTS and SFSU. Through the use of these languages, I was able to develop the projects below. Django, Javascript and Bash were all self taught but were necessary for developing university projects and scripts to improve processes at work. All systems, software and hardware were also learnt in order for me to complete tasks for both work and academic purposes. Desktop computers would be the exception among these as I learnt the hardware and how the components worked in order to build myself a PC.

Transferable

Leadership, Collaboration, Time-Management, Communication, Attention to Detail, Critical Thinking, Employee Training, Customer Service.

All my transferrable skills were gained from different academic, professional and extra-curricular experiences of my life. Leadership, Employee Training, Customer Service and Communication were all learnt and developed while I was training and working as a Crew Trainer at McDonald's and as a Customer Service employee at IKEA. I was taught on how I can implement these skills in my work, then afterwards I put those skills into practice everyday in order to help the business achieve success. I was able to use these skills within University projects that required my leadership and communication skills to guide my group to achieving goals. University projects also allowed me to develop and implement Time-Management, Attention to Detail and Critical Thinking skills to manage large projects that required me to solve problems and complete the assignment goals. Usually, this would require me to balance my time on many projects at the same time whilst also working part-time. As a result, I was able to use my skills within a professional environment while also developing these skills even further from various opportunities and projects.
